There are so many new GPS brands in the market in these days. It is indeed not an easy decision to make when thinking of which GPS will suit ones needs and comfort. There are a lot of factors that have to be thought over. The price factor will probably the first thing that will come to ones mind. Another will have to be the GPS’s physical factors: its looks, size, portability, features and maybe its star appeal too. These factors will apply in all kinds of GPS, may it be a GPS hiking, a vehicle mounted unit, or an external/internal unit designed to be used for a palm pc or laptops.
So what makes a best GPS?
First, let us tackle the price factor. The expensive GPS will not necessarily mean that it is going to be the best one. One has to consider that this such GPS may have contained so many features which makes it more costly but these features may not be used at its maximum potential. Why? Because these are not the ones that are needed. One has to go for the GPS that is just enough for ones needs. Second, let us talk about its physical factors. If one needs a vehicle mounted unit, this basically has to be installed in ones car, thus making it not portable at all. If it is an external/internal unit for ones pc, this may cost to shorten the computer’s battery life. Therefore, all these can be summed up to what kind of GPS that one is needing. The usage of the GPS has to be in line with the features a GPS is presented with. The star appeal of the GPS may also matter for social purposes.
These are just few of the characteristics one has to take into account. There are still more that has to be thought of though. One just has to really think about it over before making a decision to avoid regrets and waste effort and money.
